CBD is the commonly used abbreviation for cannabidiol – a compound found in hemp and marijuana. CBD sold for consumption is derived exclusively from hemp and is required by the FDA to contain less than 0.3% THC.
What forms does CBD come in?
CBD can come in a variety of different forms and extraction types. The most common ways to use or consume CBD are in tinctures, capsules, or as a topical cream or ointment. As for extraction types, CBD can be extracted from hemp in three different ways:
